Anti-inflammatory: Reduces redness, swelling, and irritation from scalp conditions.

Keratolytic: Breaks down excess keratin to reduce thickened, scaly skin.

Antipruritic: Soothes the scalp to relieve persistent itching.

Exfoliating: Promotes natural shedding of dead skin cells to reduce build up and dryness.

1. Wet Hair: Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water.
2. Apply Shampoo: Use enough shampoo to create a rich lather.
3. Massage: Gently massage the scalp and surrounding areas with your fingertips.
4. Leave On: Ensure the shampoo remains on the scalp for a total of 3-5 minutes.
5. Rinse & Repeat: Rinse thoroughly and repeat steps 2-5 once.

Apply once or twice a week to alleviate scalp condition symptoms.If symptoms persist, consult your GP.

Active Ingredient

Coal tar solution 4% (w/w). A natural, thick oil with anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-itch properties. It cleanses and soothes the scalp while slowing excessive skin cell growth to reduce itching and irritation.

Do Not Use Polytar if:

• You have ever had an allergic reaction to coal tar or any of the listed ingredients.
• You have infected, open, or damaged skin, or pus-filled blisters (pustules).
• You are under 12 years old.
  

Use with Caution if:

• You have sensitive, broken, or inflamed skin - stop use if irritation occurs.
• The shampoo comes into contact with your eyes - rinse immediately with clean water.
• You are exposed to strong sunlight or sunbeds, as coal tar may increase sun sensitivity.
• Polytar contacts clothing or bedding, as it may stain and increase flammability.
• You are taking medications that increase sun sensitivity, such as:
  

Safety Note:

• Polytar may cause a temporary change in hair colour in rare cases.
• Clothing, bedding, or fabrics exposed to the product may pose a fire risk - wash thoroughly, but note that build-up may not be completely removed.
